NarpsUK Member

As a full member of NarpsUK (National Association of Pet Sitters and Dog Walkers) I have access to animal experts via a 24 hour pet health helpline. This means I can better care for your pets and give you peace of mind through expert advice about your companion animal should this be required during the time they are in my care.

NarpsUK was established to raise industry standards and has developed a Code of Practice including training, education and to promote best practice for professional pet sitters and dog walkers.

On joining NarpsUK I enrolled and successfully passed their full training course called The NarpsUK Pet Sitting and Dog Walking Business Course, an intensive twelve module learning and development course which incorporates animal health care, the law and pet first aid.

I hold the appropriate business insurance and have been fully screened through the national security checks called the Disclosure and Barring Service, often referred to as the Criminal Records Bureau check.

My Experience

Prior to Paws2walk I supported another pet minder as a co worker providing dog walking and home based visits. I have also cared for pets belonging to friends, neighbours and family members, besides providing pet care advice and information.

With substantial experience of caring for disabled animals or those with sensory loss, some of my previous pets have included walking a deaf dog who required hand commands as his main form of communication, .....sign language for dogs!

Known locally by several veterinary practices, wildlife services, pet store staff and existing clients I can provide excellent references and testimonials. I have the confidence, commitment and values to deliver the perfect pet care service to you and your pet in Corfe Mullen, Wimborne and Broadstone.

My Services

Services include dog walking and social exercising, visiting house calls to feed your pet, administer their medication and for basic health and well-being checks. House and pet sitting when owners are away and want an overnight live-in service.

Some owners have requested companion care - essential time spent entertaining and providing comfort and companionship to their animals. This is usually an hour and a half,  slightly longer than the usual house visit. However, services in Corfe Mullen, Wimborne and Broadstone can easily be tailored to individual needs.

Doggy 'VIP day out' and 'Dog - Hosting' at your special event are services with a difference. You may not have previously considered this so please make contact for further details.

Holiday visitors to Dorset may find they require an Animal Aunty for the day. Where dogs are not permitted at certain events Paws2walk can offer care to cover these unpredictable events.

Domesticated animal care are not the only requests I receive. With extensive experience of caring for wildlife, some customers have requested visits to feed their wild garden birds, fox, badger, squirrel, hens and hedgehogs when on vacation or business trips.

Happy Pets at Paws2Walk

At Paws2Walk, our aim is to ensure that pets and companion animals receive the highest standard of care, kindness and compassion. If your pets are happy, then we are happy.

By carrying out a full assessment and consultation we have the opportunity to understand you, your pet and what is important to them. We also provide care reviews, because just like people, our pets needs change over time.

Because many pets cope less well when their usual pattern of care changes, we aim to replicate their usual routine. By mapping the service as close to the care your pet would usually receive, this provides continuity to help maintain your pets confidence, trust and sense of security.

Find me on The Good Dog Guide / NarpsUK & Dorset Dogs

Paws2Walk has been a member of The Good Dog Guide, NarpsUK and Dorset Dogs for just over a year now. Several customers have found details about Paws2Walk from visiting these sites.

As a member of NarpsUK I completed specific training and passed an exam. Furthermore, both NarpsUK and Dorset Dogs have standards and guides outlining what is expected of professional dog walkers/pet sitters. These include a Code of Practice and the Doggy Do Guide, when out and about.

Getting to know me - Tracie Stevens

At school the teacher often approached me to ask if I would take the classroom pet home for holidays… and of course it was always ‘yes’! From a young age mum and dad realized nothing would stop my natural affinity and connection with all animals. Essential qualities like kindness, patience, understanding and compassion were just part of my experience of growing up with parents who respected the environment and valued both companion animals and the wild animals that visited out garden.

Sample of Testimonials

Tracie was a star and was there to make sure he was looked after whenever my husband and I had commitments. We agreed that we would not leave Alfie with anyone else other than Tracie as they bonded so well and Alfie loved spending time with Tracie (I am certain the feeling was mutual). Tracie always showed such patience, understanding and insight into meeting and tending to all his very unique needs and habits.

She just understood him so well. One day we returned from an evening out and Alfie was ‘sparko’ (snores and all!) on Tracie’s lap. He must have weighed a ton! But it was obvious he had enjoyed his entertainment time and we didn’t hear a peep from him until morning.

Tracie also researched and recommended a Thunder Shirt to help reduce Alfie's noise anxiety around the time of Guy Fawkes Night.

Don't mess with me!... I'm a big softie really, Alfie. X

We just wanted to say a big "THANK YOU" for medicating Thomas and Hardy for us during our absence. We didn't worry whilst we were away, knowing you would be there for them and ensure they were given their medications and drops.

Our relative was full of praise with how you handled and dealt with our cats. we are lucky to have found you, and wont hesitate to recommend you to others. Warmest regards C & S

“Paws to Walk did an amazing job looking after our dog 'Autumn' for a week while we were away. Autumn was looked after in her own home to a level which exceeded our expectations. It was the first time in 12 years she had not accompanied us on holiday so I was apprehensive about leaving her. However I had nothing to worry about and she was cared for to a very high standard, we were kept advised at all times and received pictures and videos of Autumn while we were away. I would not hesitate to use Paws2Walk again, we made an excellent decision.”

"I have just spent 4 days with  my best friend Tracie, cos my mum had to go away to see family. I have visited all sorts of different places including Upton Country Park, Upton Heath and even Corfe!

I tried to behave very well and I think Tracie had fun too! My mum uses a wheelchair so I can't go to exciting places like I did with my friend Tracie! She even gave me a little treat sometimes! I had a really good time although it was nice to see my mum again once she safely returned".
